Frances Louise Hicks

Frances Louise Hicks passed peacefully on October 8, 2015 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ethel Gillman, husband, Arthur Hicks, daughter, Mary Keenan, and sister, Doris Applegate. Survived by her daughter Judy Christenson (Lloyd), son Walter Hicks (Catherine), grandchildren Greg Ives (Laurie), Christine Mares (Marty), Sean Keenan (Kristine), and Kelly Pittman (Brian) and 10 great grandchildren. Frances was born in Highland Park, MI. She worked in the medical field for 40 years in Ann Arbor, MI and Tucson. After retirement she was very active in her church working as the church bookkeeper and serving on the alter guild, volunteering in the church office and was a member of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW). She also made sandwiches for Casa Maria Soup Kitchen once a month. She was known for her cookies and macaroni & cheese dish which she baked for her grandchildren and church friends. Frances loved animals especially her cat, Cassy. Frances touched the lives of so many people over the years and she will be missed. A memorial service will be held on October 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St. Michael and All Angels Church, 602 N Wilmot Rd in Tucson. Remembrances may be made by donating to your favorite animal rescue organization.
