

Frank joined the Marines when he was 15 years old, serving four years in the Pacific Campaign. He was awarded two Purple Hearts. He served as a Traffic Controller, in the USAF, for 23 years, retiring with the rank of MSGT. Frank is a Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. After serving 27 years of military service, he retired with an Honorable Discharge.
After retirement from the USAF, he became an FAA Traffic Controller, working at the Salt Lake City and Ogden, UT Airports. He retired in 1981. Frank was a bus driver and bus monitor for TUSD for 4 years.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife Anita M. Rodriguez, grandsons, Bret Williams, Wyatt Ercanbrack, Kelton McCarthy, and stepson Cordell Rogers. He had 6 sisters and one brother who also preceded him in death.
Frank is survived by his wife Barbara A. Moreno, children, Guadalupe ‘Wally’ Moreno (Vivian), Lydia M Jorn (Jay) Mary Lou M. Ercanbrack (Scott) and Francis Thomas ‘Corky’ Moreno (Shannon), Monica and Dan Miller, brother Ernest Moreno and numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Frank graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a History major and a Photography minor. He was an avid reader, especially history. He loved crossword puzzles, always using a pen to complete! Throughout his life, he was a music lover of both classical and jazz, enjoyed hand ball, swimming and walking his dogs.
Frank left a mark on the hearts of family and friends. His legacy of strength, love, selflessness, immense humor and wisdom will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.
Frank had a gusto for life, love for his family and country. He lived big and loved hard, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.
He will be forever loved and remembered.
Memorial Service with Military Honors will take place on Saturday October 5th starting at 10:00am to 12:30pm at Funeraria Del Angel 7 E. University Blvd. Tucson, AZ 85705
