

Frank S. Barski, Jr. passed away June 15, 2010, while vacationing in the White Mountains with his wife JoAnn. Frank was born July 10, 1936, in Chicago, graduating from Taft High School in 1955. Frank and his family moved to Tucson in 1973, where he soon started Barski Development, beginning a 35-year career building apartments, shopping centers and fine custom homes, including Tucson's first million-dollar. Barski Development homes have been noted for their Contemporary and Santa Fe style, many of which can still be recognized with their signature bell incorporated into the designs. A Wildcat fan for many years, Frank often traveled out of town to watch the UA basketball team. He rarely missed a game. Frank is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Barski; daughter, Sheryl Rumic (Andy) and son, Frank Barski III; grandchildren, Andrea and Ryan Rumic; sister, Rene Green (Henry); sister-in-law, Virginia Barski; aunt, Nora Peters; stepdaughter, Lisa Vincent; grandchildren, Hailey, Devon and Rylan Vincent; first wife, Barbara Barski and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5150 N. Valley View. Reception to follow.
