Franklin Charles Grimm was born on July 6, 1933, to Frank and Carrie Grimm in Faribault, Minnesota, where he grew up.
In August 1954, Franklin joined the United States Army, proudly serving his country. After his service, he worked at McQuay’s in Faribault, MN.
On August 1, 1957, Franklin married Darlene May Marsh at Peace Lutheran Church in Faribault, MN. Together, they built their home near the flour mill on Western Avenue. As their family grew, they sold their home in Faribault and purchased a hobby farm on 80 acres in North Morristown, MN. There, they raised their children and tended to their small farm, which included two large gardens, an apple orchard, various farm animals, and beloved pets, including a milk cow named Mary Bell and a dog named Tippy.
Eventually, Franklin and Darlene moved to Tucson, Arizona, where they enjoyed their retirement.
Franklin is survived by his loving wife, Darlene May Marsh, and their five children:

He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Additionally, he is survived by two sisters, Erna and Edna Quam.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Carrie Grimm; two sisters, Dorothy and Evelyn; and two brothers, Everette and Burton.
A service to honor Franklin’s life will be held at Desert Rose Heather Funeral Home, 1040 N Columbus Blvd, on February 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
