George V. Parrott passed away in Tucson, Arizona on October 28, 2013. Mr. Parrott was born March 6, 1951 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to parents Joseph Victor Parrott and Jo Geraldine Jackson. He graduated from Tucson Sunnyside High School in 1969.
Mr. Parrott enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps for a two year period of service from 1971 to 1973. He further served his country with the U. S. Army and Reserve until his discharge in 1982. He was employed by the Veterans Administration until his retirement in 2002.
Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Arizona
George was predeceased by his parents and a half brother, Martin Jackson. He is survived by brother Ronald (wife Janice), stepfather Virgil Jackson, stepmother Jean Parrott, half brother Roger Jackson, half sister Vickie Miller (husband Sam), nephew Josh Jackson (wife Jenifer), nephew Joseph Parrott, and niece Donna Martindale (husband Jack).
The family would like to extend thanks to all who cared for George at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tucson.
