

George A. Yeager went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, February 3, 2012. He was born on June 25, 1928 in West Bolivar, PA. Son of Jacob and Jane Yeager, he was the 8th child of 11 children. He is survived by Ruth, his wife of 56 years, and three children, Jeffrey (Diane) from Tucson, AZ, Vicki from Sandy, Oregon, and Michael from Globe, AZ.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Dorothy (Jack) Biss, 1 brother Sam (Gladys) Yeager, and numerous in-laws and cousins.
George was a strong, godly man. He was a wonderful and faithful husband; loving and caring father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was also a trustworthy friend. George grew up in West Bolivar, PA. He and Ruth moved to Tucson in 1961. He took his family back to visit his PA family at least every other summer. He worked for Tucson Unified School District for 27 years. He was a hard working servant of Bethel Baptist Church, Tucson, AZ, where, among other things, he served as head usher, made pancakes for the annual Rodeo breakfast, sang solos, and sang in the choir and in cantatas.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson. Graveside service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at El Camino Baptist Church, 7777 E.
