Gerald Curton Brown, a kind and loving husband, dad and grandpa, died Monday, August 18, 2014, at his home in Vail, Arizona. His dear, sweet wife was at his side. Gerald was born in Ogden, Utah November 20, 1921. He is preceded in death by his sister, Edith Idenia and brothers, Howard and Allen.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Evelyn Mareen Brown; sons, David (Cheryl); Barry (Shirley); Kevin (Susan); daughter, Cathy Estes (Kyle); 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Gerald was born with the gift of music and played the piano and organ in performances and church from the time he was a child. The arts were his passion, but prized most to him was his family and repeatedly said, "We have the most blessed family I know."
He had a great testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and God, the Father, and was a true example. He has always been noted, even through sickness, as kind and polite. Gerald always called his wife "Dear" and she says, "He was a real gentleman."
We love him and miss him.
