Gloria N Lupinacci passed away peacefully into the loving arms of God on January 15, 2022. Born in 1930, she died on her 92nd birthday. Gloria is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Tony, in 2017, and their young daughter Diane, in 1961. She is survived by many close nieces, nephews, and in-laws in Arizona and on the east coast. She had great love for her family and those who continued to support her throughout her final years.
Gloria was born in Mt. Vernon, NY into a large Italian family of eleven children. She met Tony at the young age of 15 and they married a few years later in Rhinebeck, NY. She worked for Western Printing as a seamstress as well as helping out at their family restaurant. They moved to Scottsdale, AZ in the mid-seventies where she worked for Motorola, Inc. as a machinist and group leader. Together they owned and operated an Italian deli where she and Tony cooked and served amazing authentic cuisine. They moved to Tucson in 1983 where Gloria worked for Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon Technologies for several years.
Gloria was loved by many people and will be remembered for her giving and caring spirit. She loved to cook, and she cherished traditional holiday celebrations. The way Gloria showed her love was by sharing her table often with family, friends, and neighbors. Her recipes—which she happily shared—will live on forever.
Rest in peace, Gloria.
