Passed away September 18, 2014. Born to John and Elizabeth Hill May 18, 1916 in Mason City IA, he graduated from Mason City High School in 1933. He worked as a railroad signal maintainer and eventually ended as Chief Signal Engineer for the Milwaukee Railroad in Chicago IL.
After leaving the railroad, he worked for DeLeuw Cather in Washington, D.C. as a consultant. In 1981 he and Clara, his wife of 47 years, retired to Tucson. Gordon was a skilled woodworker and could fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his wife Clara and brother Charles. He is survived by sisters Lois and Frances, brother Byron, his sons Ronald (Pam) and Victor (Lynne) and by his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. His passing is a great loss felt by family and friends who truly loved him.
Visitation is Wednesday, September 24 from 6:00 to 8:00PM and services Thursday, September 25 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 9:00AM. Burial to follow at All Faiths Cemetery. In lieu of flowers consider a donation to a charity of choice.
