Greg was born in Jersey City on October 12, 1966 to Sim and Mary Ann Cottle (Bynum). He graduated from Thomas Edison High School, Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from High School, he enlisted into the United States Air Force, where he served his country for 10 years. When Greg was stationed to Davis Monthan Air Force Base he fell in love with the city, the community, and most importantly the weather. He realized driving trucks was in his blood and with more sunshine days than snow days he was in the perfect place. He decided to get his CDL, just like his father. Greg became a professional truck driver for over 25 years.
On September 24, 2016, he married LoRonda Cottle (Ray). Greg was a loving husband and best friend to LoRonda. They enjoyed traveling together as well as spending time with family and friends. Greg and LoRonda enjoyed 20 years together before his passing.
Some of Greg's interests and hobbies included researching religion, working on his BMWs, smoking cigars, and recently he was working on starting a T-Shirt Business.
While we are devastated by Greg's passing, we can't help but remember all the time he made us laugh, made us think outside the box, and attempted to be our vitamin guru. Greg has left a legacy of love and integrity with his family and those who knew him well and the wonderful memories as a loving husband, father, son, and brother. We are all grateful for each and every day we got to see his smile or hear his voice.
Survived by his wife of 5 years, LoRonda Cottle; children Shamira Carter, Dallas, TX, Kiana Ray, Houston, TX, and Rashad Stevenson, Tucson, AZ; mother, Mary Ann Cottle, Tucson, AZ; sister, Simone Bishop (Rudolph), Camden, New Jersey; and brother Ronald Cottle (Leslie), Jersey City, New Jersey, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Gregory will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712. Followed by a Celebration of Life Party.
