Helen is survived by her children Edna Romero, Matilda Alvarez, and Albert Diaz (Suzanne Diaz); and by her grandchildren Kimberly Alvarez, Richard Alvarez, Richard Romero, Rita Romero, Reva Diaz, and Antonio Diaz. Helen is preceded in passing by her husband of 30 years and the father of their children Albert Diaz, and one of their grandchildren Francisco Alvarez. She joins them now in eternity to watch over their family and loved ones.
Helen is fondly remember for her feisty spirit, and her fierce devotion to her family. A lifelong housewife, she cultivated a home like a garden, feeding and nurturing her family over the years. Her home is remembered as being a safe place for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a haven where they could find rest and her love. She was passionately dedicated to her faith and was greatly involved with her church, regularly singing and attending events with her fellow parishioners.
Helen's passion further extended to traveling; she journeyed across the southwest and the east coast of the United States, as well as all across Mexico, where she spent much of her time as a child and coming of age. Into her later years, Helen tended her a garden at her home.
Helen's memory will be cherished by all those who had the opportunity to know her, who admired her spirit, and who had the chance to share in her love. She will be deeply and dearly missed by her family, friends, and community.
