Helen C Smith

Helen C. Smith died on Monday, November 25, 2024, following a brief illness. Born in Tucson, Arizona on July 3, 1930, Helen lived a long life of 94 years as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. While we will miss her tremendously, we are grateful that she is now in the loving arms of Jesus and free from this world’s trials and struggles.

Helen will be fondly remembered for her loving compassion toward others. As an Air Force wife, she raised her family in various locations throughout this country and the world. She unselfishly cared for family and friends during some of their most difficult times. Helen was a frequent participant in church activities for both children and adults. Even with many health struggles herself, she was constantly concerned about the welfare of others.

Preceding Helen in Death were her parents Walter and Nora Colwell; siblings Viola, Mae, Ruth, Ottis, and Herbert; and her loving husband of 61 years, Robert L. Smith. Surviving are brother Earl; children Tesa, Tina (Tom), David (Sue), and Sandy; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Palms East Lawn Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1:30 pm. Remembrances may be sent to Helen’s family at 4452 S. White Pine Drive, Tucson, Arizona 85730.
