
Helen Danuta Skoczylas Warner was born on January 26, 1947, in Schongau, Bavaria, Germany, her father, Adam, was 31, and her mother, Albina, was 24. She has one brother, Micheal and one sister, Christine. She had a son, Daryl with Gregory Alan Hammer, in 1971. She worked as an international flight attendant for 28 years and as medical surgical nurse in for 20 years. She later married Stanley D. Warner in 1997. Together, they traveled the country together, full time in their RV for 14 years. Together, they lived in California, Missouri and New Mexico.
Her son Daryl Kahan, born June 16, 1971, in Danbury, Connecticut and was given up for adoption. Helen and Daryl reconnected fifty years later and shared several wonderful years together, as mother and son. Helen was a kind, caring and loving person with many friends. She had a variety of interests and talents including art (painting), cooking, hiking, dancing and traveling around the country in her RV, with her beloved dog, Winchester.
She is survived by her son, Daryl Kahan and his partner, Colleen, brother, Michael Skoczylas (Carol), sister, Christine Skoczylas Marczak (Tony), as well as her nieces and nephews.
We remember our Helen fondly and with love.
