Holly was born in Freeport, New York on December 14, 1950. She grew up in Wantagh, New York, a city on Long Island where she attended Wantagh Junior High and High School. She went on to attend college at the State University of New York in New Paltz, NY. She passed away peacefully at the age of 70 in the early morning hours of December 1st, 2021 due to lung cancer
She moved to Tucson with her family in 1970 and worked for the Tucson Police Department as a Police Dispatcher. It was there she met her husband, Paul, an Officer, and then Sergeant with the Department. Holly retired in 1981 at the height of her career to become what she’d always wanted; a housewife and home maker.
Holly had many interests including traveling, painting, writing, jewelry, antiques, computing and especially cooking. She was also the CEO of a center for disabled and handicapped children. In 2009, she and her husband took the trip of a lifetime in their RV, traveling through 23 states during an 11 month excursion.
Holly is preceded in death by her parents Claude Harley Kraft and Estelle Alvina (Ryan) Kraft. She is survived by her husband Paul, her brother William J. Kraft, her stepdaughters Demetria Zweirzynski and Joelle Thompson, as well as several nieces, nephews, granddaughters and great grandchildren. An outdoor service will be held at East Lawn Cemetery at 1:30 on December 17th, 2021. Arrangements by Desert Rose Heather Mortuary and East Lawn Cemetery.
