Ina Eunice Marie McNally (Boutcher) was born on September 14, 1929 in Kingwell, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, Canada. Sadly, on Friday, February 14, 2025 she passed peacefully away at her home. She lived a long and fulfilling life, becoming McNally as the wife of Joseph, mother to John and Elizabeth, grandmother to Matthew and Steven.
Mom is predeceased by her parents, William and Bertha (Stacey) Boutcher, Husband Joseph Patrick (1984), Sisters Sylvia Roach (Harvey), Marcella Baker (Boyd), Laura (Doug), infant sister May Boutcher, Linda Rodway and brother-in-law Paul McNally (Mary) McNally.
Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are son John, daughter Elizabeth (Mark Giampapa) and grandsons Matthew and Steven and various nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the Gentiva Hospice Nurses and Staff for tending to mom’s health as well as the Homewell and Cornerstone Caregivers. Mom wished to remain at home and with their help we made this possible.
Mom was very active, upbeat, efficient and independent. She saw the Hindenburg as it flew over Kingwell on its fateful voyage to New Jersey in 1937. She loved to solve crossword puzzles with a dictionary and thesaurus nearby. As a result, she was nearly impossible to beat in Scrabble. She was superb at Wheel of Fortune and solved nearly most puzzles before the contestants. Mom was a savant in sudoku and considered using pencil cheating until she encountered the Black Belt and higher levels. She traveled back to Newfoundland frequently, enjoyed a British Isles trip, visited the Johnson Space Center and spent a week in Washington, D.C. Mom loved to play bingo and won big at a Bingo Caribbean Cruise. Before covid, mom enjoyed the Tuesday Golden Age Club events. We will miss her greatly as we continue our lives without her.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to East Lawn Palms Mortuary and Cemetery in Tucson. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 7 from 5-7 pm. Services and Funeral will take place at East Lawn Palms on Saturday, March 8 at 9 am, with interment to follow, where she will be laid to rest peacefully.
