Grandma you’ve always been the light in the center of the family. You’ve been the warmth and strength that has helped all of us through the darkest times. I know that you will continue to be the light, now you’ll be the light that surrounds us. Thank you Grandma, thank you for everything you shared with us, and never losing faith in any of us. Love Marc, Amy, Hannah, and Jacob.

Mrs Acosta, I never knew your real first name, but certainly knew your children: Marcella, Irene, my sister's best friend at St. John's, Gabriel, my classmate and longtime friend, Carlos, may he rest in peace, and Adrianna. Your life, when I knew you, was in service to the Sisters of Charity at St. John's. You took good care of them--may their sisters lead you into heaven and to your family members who are awaiting you. My deepest condolences to your children and their families. We can model ourselves after you--in service and in love. Thank you.

I miss you mom, but with every apple pie I bake & every batch of tamales I make I know that you are there guiding me. Watch over us and protect us all.

I was so blessed to know you and love you so much, my heart aches for your loving hugs but my warm memories of you will fill the void.

Grandma, words can't express how much we are going to miss you but we know you are back with the love of your life grandpa. I'm going to especially miss you at tamale time since that is when we celebrated our birthdays together and you would always let me be the masa taster cause you knew I loved eating it. You always knew how to make each one of us feel special like we were your favorite even though you loved and treated us all the same. Thank you for everything you taught us and all the unconditional love you gave.
TE AMO! Becky
