Jacqueline Jean Bruns

Jackie was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois on July 7, 1944. She was the second born of John and Charlotte Orr. Jackie moved to Tucson with her family in the late '50s and graduated from Amphitheater High School in 1962. She went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in Education at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, Arizona. She worked as an elementary school teacher for more than 20 years, then transitioned to a Reading Specialist role in the Tucson Unified School District until she retired in 2005. Jackie was a humble, avid bowler and enjoyed knitting and crafts, as well as tending to her gorgeous, talk-of-the-neighborhood rose bushes in her spare time.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 54 years Marc Joseph, four children, David William (Mary-Elizabeth), Daniel Robert (Lisa), Katherine Charlotte (Kenneth), Sara Lynne, 7 grandchildren, her sisters Patricia Bonura (d. Michael), Susan Mullin (John), brother John Edward (Heather), niece Lori (Jeff) and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service for Jacqueline will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, followed by an internment and reception.
