Jaden Emir Augustus Pillors was born on November 18, 2003 to the union of Demetrius and Kellie Pillors. His older siblings Dijon and Ashley Pillors embraced him with love and care throughout his life. Family was at the forefront of everything concerning Jaden. The bond he had with is ‘Grandma Pennington’ was special; they adored each other.
As a young child Jaden enjoyed playing with Thomas the Train, we all became very familiar with Percy, Gordon, Daisy and the infamous Diesel 10. He enjoyed swimming with his ‘Poppa and Nana’. They would stay in the pool for hours, diving for rings and dunking balls.
Our Jaden was a sweet kid with a sweet tooth. He would want Eegees for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you didn’t keep your wits, he could convince you to get it for him. I promise you he could have been a lawyer with his persuasiveness and persistence.
During Jaden’s young years his mother married Jorge Hernandez who quickly became his dad. Jorge embraced Jaden as his own, seamlessly blending his love for Elias, Anais and Jaden.
As Jaden grew his interest changed. He became an avid video gamer, it was not long before he was beating his uncles by building structures on Fortnite quicker than anyone. He even dabbled in skateboarding this challenging activity lead to a broken leg. Several surgeries later he quickly learned that it was not his forte’.
“Durag’s, brushes and Irish Springs…Auntie, mom can you buy me a new wave brush and some velvet durag’s. I’ll pay you back”; this was a common request from Jaden. His collection of wave tools was massive. He loved his waves and his mom kept his waves dippin’, and his clothes drippin’. Her boy was the light of her life. Kellie worked extremely hard to ensure her Jaddy never went without. Jaden was just 8 months of age when his mom introduce him to the world of international travel. Whether it was a trip to Belize or a quick run to San Diego to visit his Auntie Alif; their family stayed on the move. Family was always important to Jaden and game nights brought out his competitive side. He loved family gatherings and the jokes and laughter of us all together will forever be in our memories.
It takes a village to raise a child, and all of Jaden’s loved ones are gathered today, just as he would have wanted. His mother Kellie, his dads Demetrius and Jorge; brothers and sisters. Grandma Pennington, Nana Sylvia and Grandma Norma and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. And is proceeded by his beloved papa. Justice for Jaden lets scream his name.
