BURNS, Janay M., (July 18, 1946 – March 18, 2011). Janay has taken her final rest and gone to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her loving husband, John; children, Jennifer, Judi, Joel, Stewart and Audrey; grandchildren, Micah, Anna, Deborah, Alina and Ethan; mother-in-law, Elizabeth; siblings, Bill Lombard and Shelia Morgan. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY. A Memorial Service will be held at Sandario Baptist Church, 6791 N. Sandario, on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. and interment at East Lawn Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Janay spent her life showing her love and passion for God, her family, friends – and sports. Throughout her life, she gave of herself and selflessly took care of those she loved, especially her husband, family and friends. Janay enjoyed a Wildcats win and then after years of dealing with pain from injuries to her back and hip, ovarian cancer was the fight she couldn't overcome. Janay, Mother, Granny - deeply loved by all of us and will be sorely missed until we see her again in Heaven.
