

Our adored mother and friend, Jean Hollenbeck-Weekley, passed away in her home on the morning of May 30th at the age of 92. She was loved and was a mother to so many including her "girls", as she called them, at the BeeHive Home in Safford, AZ. People were drawn to her genuine spirit and real personality. People were comfortable around her because she was so interested in their lives. She will be so very missed. Jean was born April 8, 1926, in Odessa Township, Jewel County, Kansas to the parents of Ernest Phillip Hollenbeck and Mabel Dow Warner-Hollenbeck. Her siblings include Fern Muriheid (deceased), Dean Hollenbeck, Glea Steedly (deceased), and Jack Hollenbeck. Mom married the handsome, Arkle Benny Weekley on June 2, 1945, in Pocomoke City, Worcester County, Maryland. Dad passed away on August 7, 2007. Together they raised 4 grateful children; Claudia Alldredge (Merlin), Karen White (David, deceased), Tonya Petty (Randy), and Aaron Weekley, deceased (Lisa). She also leaves 11 grandchildren, and many adored great and great-great-grandchildren. We would also want to honor mom’s friend Joyce Klein who came to visit mom every day, our family is forever grateful for Joyce's friendship. Mom's Celebration of Life will be June 8, at 10:00 AM, at True Hope Fellowship, 814 S. Central Ave, Safford. Graveside services June 9th at 10:00 AM, at Tucson Memorial Park, South Lawn, 5401 S. Park Ave, Tucson.
