Jean C. Welborn, 92, of Tucson passed away on March 22, 2012. She is survived by her children; Victor Julian Mergard (Hisa), Melinda Jean Heald (Bart), Martha Jane Freed (Neil), and Cynthia Cedona Hafter (Lawrence); 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. Jean graduated from New York City Hospital School of Nursing and later received her RN from the U of A. Jean was a prolific published writer, an artist, and was self-educated in several musical genres. She loved to travel, but really loved being with her family. A Memorial Service will be held, at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 6th, at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant RD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Coast Humane Society, 828 Rail Road Ave., Brookings, OR 97415.
