Jeanne E. Keiter-Marek 4/12/1940 - 1/3/2015 Heaven's choir received a new voice when Jeannie joined on January 3, 2015. The music in her soul kept her humming, whistling and singing, from silly songs to Sacred Hymns. Her love of God gave her strength to bear her illness with dignity. Born in St. Paul, MN, Tucson was her home for 61 years. Salpointe was her high school, and she earned her R.N. at St. Mary's School of Nursing. Every patient received her loving compassion, skill and care. Her greatest dedication was her 30 years at UAMC in the Cardiac Cath. Lab. She and Bill were married 23 years when he died in 2007. They participated at St. Margaret's Parish for many years; Bill as acolyte and Jeannie, leading the singing. If all dogs go to heaven, as many as 200 of them purebred or mutt, will greet her with shining eyes, wagging tails to thank her for how she loved, fed, trained, groomed, eased their pain; all without giving notice to some of us who looked on in amazement. Her love of God, the music of the spheres, her dedication to the profession she loved, and, of course, the dogs; will be remembered always as the real Jeannie. And though she had no kids of her own, she cherished and prayed for all God's kids. Jeannie is loved and will be missed by her brother, Steve, (Nancy) Keiter of Lafayette, Co; sisters, Charlotte (Frank) Vnuk of Franklin, NJ, and Mary Anne (Bob) Morris of Sahuarita, AZ. Though miles kept us apart, she loved her nieces and nephews, and her many wonderful friends. Visitation is Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL, 7 E. University. Funeral Mass is Friday, January 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Peter and Paul Church, 1946 E. Lee Street. Burial to follow at Holy Hope. The family invites you to join us in a Reception following the Services to share memories of our Jennie.
