Jeri Harwood is lovingly remembered by her wife, Sarajean Harwood and her daughter, Heather Harwood. A proud graduate of Hollywood High School, Jeri went on to serve her country in the Navy. She earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Arizona, paving the way for a distinguished career as a writer, researcher, and award-winning documentary filmmaker. Jeri's documentary, in cooperation with Oxford Scientific Film, Ghosts of Ruby, captivated audiences on PBS.
Jeri served many years on the board of Reid Park Zoo and also on the board of Access Tucson. Above all, Jeri was a devoted and loving parent to her daughter, Heather. Her legacy of brilliance and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
