Jerome James Curtis Jr.

Jerome J. Curtis, Jr., passed away surrounded by family on August 23, 2023 in Tucson, AZ. Born March 13, 1950 in San Diego, CA. Preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Beverley Curtis, sisters Shirley Barr, Sheila Curtis and Barbara Walker, brothers Robert Walker, Robert Hansen and Jim Denney. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years and 11 months, Vicky Curtis. Lovingly remembered by his children Jason (Carrie) Curtis, Jaclyn (Jason) Counts, Jerome (Kellie) Curtis III, sisters Patricia (Ray) Eaton, Shirley Hansen and Judy Denney and brothers Steve Curtis and Mike (Steve Fazio) Curtis, his cherished grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Jackson, Evan, Hudson, Jasmine, and Jerome IV (JJ) and many nieces and nephews and Brandi (Armando) Molina and Uriah. He attended Orange Coast College and graduated from San Clemente High School. Jerry served as a California Hot Shot, was a Global Truck driver and a construction superintendent until he founded JJC Construction as owner and operator. He was kept busy with jobs for Papa John’s Pizza and Genghis Grill.

In addition to enjoying his family time, he loved outdoor activities: skiing, boating, hunting, and fishing, and watching the kids play sports. He was a lifetime member of SCI and a member of Tucson Baptist Church.

The Curtis family would like to thank the hospice staff who gave such loving care to Jerry and support to his family. We also appreciate the cards, flowers and many other expressions of love shown to our family.

Celebration of life and burial will be Friday, September 8, 2023 at 2 pm at East Lawn Mortuary located at 5801 E Grant Rd. Reception to follow at the family home.
