I think about you and your family often especially Bobby our big brother. Just sent a message to your granddaughter recently after seeing her on Facebook with you as a friend!

Hello Jerry (Pooch) Sorry to hear the news that you have found a seat at the table, but as kids growing up, we spent a lot of time growing, learning, fishing, camping, pulling weeds for your brother Bob. Also washing and waxing Bobs car so he would take us on trips fishing. We first met as young kids around 5 or 6 and hung out together until off we went to war. Me first you a year later then on with our lives you a career in the AF and me school and work. After years of living in different states we connected again getting together to catch up over dinner or shooting targets which was the last time we got to see each other. Until I check out of this side the next time you see this old Marine will be guarding the streets of Heaven!

Sending you all a note and remembering uncle Jerry on this day. I hope you are  doing OK. Just know we are here and we love all of you. May today be a day of happiness in  remembering the wonderful person that he was. He did so many great things for others! He is  missed. You were blessed to have him in your lives for such a long time. Rejoice in knowing that someday you will join him and be together for eternity. 

Nancy and family. I am sorry for your loss. I had some great times with Jerry when we were at DM and worked in those silos.  I wish we could have stayed in touch throughout the years.

Jerry was the first neighbor I met when I moved in across the street 18 years ago. That first "meet" was just a simple wave hello.  Over the years, every time I’d see Jerry he would give me a wave. Whenever we talked, it was about nothing in particular but it was always uplifting thanks to Jerry’s positive manner. I don’t remember the content of any of those discussions, I just remember that Jerry was always kind and smiling and I always walked away glad to know he was my neighbor. Here’s one last wave to Jerry!

Having lived across the street from Nancy and Jerry for 15 years now, I grew accustomed to seeing Jerry ride his bike, wash his truck,  take walks, and tidy up his yard. If Jerry was outside at the same time I was, I would say hello and strike up a little bit of conversation, and he was always pleasant, kind and had a smile on his face. My kids love to share their garden-grown goods with neighbors and friends, and I feel blessed to have been able to see Jerry recently, chat a bit, and share some cucumbers. May memories of Jerry and his life bring light and healing  to all who loved him during this time. Much love from KrisAnn, Emma, & Ethan.

Uncle Jerry, every time I saw him, had a smile on his face.  Never once did I ever see him frown, or unhappy.  Always made me wonder what he knew that the rest of us didn't!  Keep Smilin' Uncle Jerry....you'll be missed, but never forgotten!  Say Hello to my dad and Marty for me!!

My grandpa Jerry was such an amazing man. He was my father figure growing up. I remember grandpa always taking Kelly ( my sister) and I to the park to play basketball and afterwards he would take us to Dairy Queen to get a chocolate dipped cone. One of the fondest memories I have of grandpa was when I came home from the dentist with retainers. I ran into the house and sat down to talk to grandpa, of course I had a lisp because I just got retainers. All the sudden grandpa starts making that sound like he was clearing his throat, and next thing I knew he spit in my eye. Grandma starts yelling at him “what the hell did you do that for”. Grandpa said “we’ll she was spitting on me so I spit back on her”. He thought I was purposely spitting on him not realizing  I had just gotten retainers. Every year after we just always laughed about it and grandpa would tell me “your never going to let that go are you”.  🤣

I have hundreds of memories I could share with you of this amazing man but I’m sure everyone that knew him already knows how amazing he was.  I hope he knew how amazing he was too. 

Grandpa, I love you soo much and I’m going to miss you dearly.  I will forever be your “Best pest in the West”.

Sending my love and prayers to all of you. I have so many fond memories through the years. I have known uncle Jerry all of my life! Even though I didn’t get to see him all the time, he was always a gentle and kind presence. Very comforting. He reminds me a lot of my husband! We were all very blessed to have him in our lives. He is and will be missed. We are all here for you and will be in the coming days and years.

I first met Jerry  around 2003 at AMARG. I later became a Building Custodian for 2 years and Jerry was the most helpful person in the world.. Jerry was part of the AMARG Wrangler group and I joined 12 years ago to socialize and keep in touch with the AMARG workers and retirees. We all enjoyed each other's company and trying out new and old restaurants.  Our meal time would last 2-3 hours with all the talking we would do. With member's family and other obligations, a few times it was Jerry and I, who would show up to share a meal and visit.   I enjoyed his company and talk. I worked in Protocol and helped plan and do the official retirement ceremony for Jerry. We wanted to recognize all of Jerry's Government Civilian years and celebrate his Retirement. During COVID shut down, Jerry kept us all in touch with each other and planned our next Wrangler Round Up! I am going to miss you Jerry and your contagious laughter. RIP


When we were little  kids we'd  see a plane in the sky and my parents  would always  say..."Wave to Uncle Jerry!" 
( since he was in the air force) 
I will always look at a plane and smile and think of Uncle Jerry and give a little  "wave to Uncle Jerry"
