Jessica Lynn Eller

Jessica Lynn Eller, 42, passed away November 4th, 2024 in her home with her friends and family. She was the daughter of Donna Lynn and Patrick Shane Baird Sr, sister to Patrick Shane Baird Jr, loving wife of over 21 years to Michael Eller, aunt, cousin, and niece to many. Jessica had Cystic Fibrosis and was the recipient of two double lung transplants, yet she did not let these define her.

Born in Sacramento, CA she attended Oakdale Elementary School, Foothill Junior High, Foothill High, and finished her education at Lompoc High. Jessica met and befriended many, was a member of Lompoc swim team and the Drama Class’ Property Master and Stage Manager. After graduation she worked for multiple private and government agencies, but most of all, she will be remembered for her dedication to military organizations and families. More notably as a Key Spouse affecting countless Squadrons, and a “go-to” individual for Commanders, First Sergeants, and Supervisors for many complicated support issues. For this dedication she was recognized many times over to include the 563rd Rescue Group 2010 Joan Orr Air Force Spouse of the Year Award.

Her love for anything crafty was always evident, but later in her life she found free-motion embroidery allowed her creativity to flow the most. She became a member of the Tucson Quilters guild using her talents to serve any cause that crossed her path.

Her sprightly philanthropic spirit was an unstoppable force that radiated in the truest smile ever seen. Having been described as being a “Spitfire with a big heart”, she was always eager to dedicate her time and energy helping people and animals in any way possible. Be it an advocate for anti-declawing, guiding an overwhelmed family with a newly diagnosed medical condition through the maze of insurance and authorizations, donating intricately embroidered hand made quilts to non-profit organization’s charity auctions, filling bags decorated by local elementary students to send to deployed military personnel, or simply listening, Jessica’s heart was her biggest asset and will be the most missed by many.

Jessie was preceded by her father, Patrick Sr and brother, Patrick Jr. She is survived by her mother Donna, Husband Michael. All are welcome to attend her Celebration of Life which will be held on January 17th, 2024, 10am to 2pm at East Lawn Palms Mortuary Chapel, 5801 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ.
