John was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1930. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, as a Master Sergeant and continued to serve in the Reserves. In 1964 he moved his family to Tucson. He was a Flooring Sub-Contractor; a real craftsman; and soon opened Pima Carpet. Being an extremely hard worker; and as his family (wife and children) run shop expanded, he then founded Casa D’Ora Floors, which became one of the largest flooring companies in Southern Arizona.
John was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. After retiring, John was still a workhorse; who always had a project going; whether it be landscaping, setting pavers, remodeling, or creating beautifully detailed model ships and other complex wooden models. The family prays that there is enough to keep him busy in heaven.
