He was born September 9, 1930 in Lyons, South Dakota. Moving with his family to Cedar Falls,
Iowa in his youth. John Retired from Hughes Aircraft after 31 years. Served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953.
Preceded in death by parents, John N. and Nora Durns; brothers, Norman, Royce and Dick; sisters, Betty
and Lucille. Survived by his wife, Donna, married for 60 years. Children, Deborah, John (Marcia) and Michael;
grandchildren, Sean, Chad and Tyler; brother, Gerald; sister-in-law, Jo Ann and Darline Durns.
Burial Service will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Ave at 11:00 a.m.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer's or charity of your choice .
