

John was born in the Bronx and has 2 siblings, Dorothy and Daniel (deceased).
He attended Samuel Gompers High School and then joined the United States Marine Corps. He served in the Korean War and was very proud of his service.
John married Patricia Tietjen and together they had four children. Deborah, deceased, Robert, Ellen and John. He also had three children from a second marriage; Toni Ann, Donna, and Johnny C. He had 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews; daughters-in-laws, and son-in-law.
John was very proud of his family. He enjoyed watching and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John loved watching Western movies, politics, and debating. He had a colorful life and a great sense of humor. He loved his family, friends, and dogs.
He enjoyed spending time at McDonald’s with his friends. Ne never liked to miss a board meeting.
John faithfully attended St. Francis de Sales Church and enjoyed watching Pickleball.
He never met a stranger and will forever be missed.
He is now resting in the care of Our Lord.
A Funeral Service will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, US, on July 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
