

Jose Luis "Louie" Sarabia passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 1, 2015. Louie went to be with the Lord with his bride of over 6o years by his side. Born March 7, 1930 to Francisco and Alejandra Sarabia in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico and raised by Rafael and Alejandra Sepulveda. He immigrated to Douglas, Arizona as a child in the mid-thirties.Enlisting in the army, he served during the Korean War after which he married his wife, Delia Vasquez and moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona and Lamson Business College. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting and began working for Douglas Aircraft. He then became the book keeper for Tucson Market and Restaurant Supply where he was eventually promoted to Vice-President and later became the proprietor.Louie was active as a member of St. John's and St. Joseph's churches, the Rotary, the Knights of Columbus and other service organizations. He loved playing golf, dancing, singing and telling tall tales. Known as "Uncle Louie" to his nieces and nephews; "Tata" to his many grand and great-grand children. He felt there was always a reason to throw a "pachanga!"
Preceded in death by his father and mother, Rafael and Alejandra Sepulveda and survived by his wife, Delia, his children: Celia Hightower, Jose Sarabia, Sandra Black, Terry Sarabia, John Sarabia and Michael Sarabia, his sisters; Bertha Figueroa, Celia Oropeza and Herminia Sepulveda and the many who loved him so dearly.We will all miss your love for life. Memorial service Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Joseph’s Chruch and reception following at South Lawn Cemetery at 12:30.
