I am sorry to learn of her passing. Josephine left a wonderful family behind that I am fortunate to have met even for a short while. May God take care of you all and may she rest in peace.

My dear grandma I will miss your smile, your laugh & your kindness. You have taught me about my culture, educated me on my families history and without you, I wouldn't have life. Your strong work ethic & compassion for others are just a small amount of how big your beautiful character was. I will miss watching you stir your coffee while sharing the beautiful stories of our ancestory. I will miss helping you make tortillas or you teaching me your recipes. There is so much of you that I will miss but you have given me a lifetime of memories of you and I will always hold them close to my heart. I love you grandma..love your granddaughter Jeannine

Tia..Their will never come a day that I won't miss the thought of having you, Tia Coco, Tia Angelita, my Dad Jessie and Mom Dora, all sitting in the Vasquez family living room, laughing, loving, and sharing stories of all the wonderful days gone by. The laughter would echo thru the house and fill the hearts of everyone there full of joy! All would tell the most intriguing stories of life in the Barrio..The house on 22nd street and South 4th Avenue..Tales of Southern Pacific Railroad, Santa Cruz Church, Barrio Viejo, The Fox Theatre, The University Of Arizona amongst many..Stories of your Father, Mother, Brothers and Sisters.. Of life growing up in a huge family ..Many who's lives were tragically cut short all too soon. All of you would sit for hours spinning tales of yesteryear..Your brother would breakout with his old 8mm films that held images of weddings, communions, and of everyday life.. Images of all of you with your dad..Memories preserved for life thru the eyes of a camera lens.. Although the films were silent.. All would explain the action and conversations of the film's moment..It always perplexed me as to why everyone would cry while watching those old films?.. I was just a kid who couldn't comprehend why everyone was so sad.  Now that I'm much older and have lost so many..Especially both my parents.. I now have a new appreciation for what those moments held..Now grasping for precious moments in time that can never be repeated. Now,.. When I see these films.. I can't turn on the projector without balling my eyes out, praying for the day that we will all be together once again. I now have to take comfort in something my Mom said to me along time ago..She said.."We cry tears of sadness because we miss them and know that our lives will never be the same again..But, As we lose our loved ones..Their are also tears of joy from those who left before us and are welcoming our loved one back to the arms of our Heavenly Father."..I try to think of that on days like this. Days where words are too few and tears too many. My deepest condolences to your Daughters and their wonderful children.

I just want to say to know Jose was to love her, she was such a wonderful, kind, loving woman full of wisdom, I loved talking to and learning from her. Jose taught me a lot of things that I will never forget...Heaven definitely gained another angel, our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Jo, so sorry for your loss. Praying that God has you and your family wrapped in His arms. Remember we will see them again.

Tia, I loved talking to you on the phone about everything, you are such a inspiration, a wonderful person who cared about everyone you talked too, your wonderful way of expressing yourself, you never held back and always spoke the truth. I will miss you terribly, you are in Gods Home with your wonderful family surrounding you in Heaven, every time I look up into the sky, I know you are looking down, watching us, guiding us and helping us, to give us that support we need to carry on.
