Joshua was born on August 29, 2003 and was a bright light in the world! He left a lasting impression on everyone he met with his sarcasm, compassionate, caring nature and witty sense of humor.
He lived a great life in a short amount of time having the opportunity to travel to many different places, touching all those he came into contact with. Being a lover of animals, he treasured his experience to the Out of Africa Wildlife Park with his family. During the summers he would spend time in Buffalo where he got to fish, kayak and go on boat rides. He also had an adventure on an Alaskan cruise where he gleefully got to meet a family of husky puppies. On a trip to Disney World, he was the star in a show with Crush from Finding Nemo and had the opportunity to partake in a Pirates Adventure. When visiting the San Francisco Bay Area, he fell in love with the weather! While he grew up in the desert, he loved spending time in areas that were cold.
He loved animals (especially cats) and his video games. If you were looking to connect with him, you could find him online gaming or cuddling with his beloved Chloe and Sasha (more affectionally known as “Sushi”).
Joshua was the bravest boy we knew and won the most epic battle against Ewing’s Sarcoma (a rare type of cancer that occurs in bones or in the soft tissue around the bones). However, the side effects from his fight ultimately claimed his life. He left a lasting impact on the nurses and other staff at Banner who aided him throughout his medical treatments.
Joshua is survived by his Mother, Lisa Wood and Father, Jonathan Syposs. He is also survived by his Great Grandmother Connie Day, beloved Grandparents, David and Evelyn Syposs, Aunt Shanny (Shannon Mikosz), Uncle Nicky (Nicholas Mikosz), and Aunt Danielle (Rusty) Mitchell. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Peter Porter, Uncle Steve Ashton and Grandmother Diana Marie Krase. He will be missed by all including his many cousins, great aunts and uncles, and other extended family members and friends that loved him dearly.
A visitation for Joshua will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, followed by a funeral service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
