June is survived by her daughter Rita Smith, granddaughters Stephanie (Craig) Schwartz and Kindell (James) Weaver, and four great-grandchildren Macy, Avery, Hayden, and Fynlee. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald First, parents George and Flossie Smith, and siblings Mary Alice, Richard, Florence, and George.
June was born on June 30, 1921, in Perrysville, Indiana. After traveling the world for Ronald’s military career, they settled in Tucson, Arizona, in 1961, where she supported her family, friends, the Arizona Wildcats basketball team, and joyfully served Northminister Presbyterian church for 20 years as an usher.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 3, at East Lawn Palms Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM, with Funeral Service at 1:00. Pastor Andy Ross will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate June’s life.
