

Kathie attended the University of Utah where she earned a dual BA in English and Speech Communication as well as an MA in English Literature. When she married her late husband, Glenn White, a professor of Psychology at the University of Arizona, she became Kathie Snow White. She earned an additional MA in English and a PhD in Speech Communication at the University of Arizona. She was a Fulbright Scholar. Kathie White was a teacher, faculty and administrator at Pima Community College. Kathie was respected and recognized with numerous publications, grants and awards.
Kathie was active in the Junior League of Tucson, Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson Symphony Orchestra League, Brewster House, Arizona Kidney Foundation, Delta Delta Delta and the University of Arizona School of Music. She was a generous donor to many causes.
Kathie loved to travel. She visited 45 states and over 30 countries. She was a knowledgeable collector of art, teddy bears and Snow White memorabilia. She loved to read and enjoyed long dinner conversations with friends. Kathie was an avid sports fan, particularly women’s sports. Her loyalty was torn between University of Arizona and University of Utah athletics, so she cheered for both.
Kathie is survived by her cousins: Alison Gilson Clodfelter, Teresa Christina Zambrana, Brad Archer and Mark James Archer, and numerous friends. If Kathie was your friends, you were incredibly blessed. She was valued, respected and loved. She will be missed.
At Kathie’s request there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held in the fall of 2023. Kathie will be interred with her parents at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Their bench is marked Snow White.
