Lawrence Louis Phillips

Preceded by parents Adrianna and Lawrence Phillips. He is survived by wife Kathleen Phillips, son Derrick Phillips, stepdaughter Amber Harter and grandson Aiden Corrillo. He is an older brother to three sisters, Molly Phillips, Sue VandenBrink and Cindy Laug. Also survived by five nieces Kim Fretwell, Michelle Oshinski, Carly Hendges, Lindsay Kelly and Mackenzie VanderWilp and three nephews Jordon and Connor Kerbyson and Jason Phillips.

Larry was born on January 18th, 1948 in Grand Rapids Michigan. Larry joined the US Army in 1968 and was a proud recipient of the three Purple Hearts during his service in the Viet Nam War. He was honorable discharged from the Army in 1971. For the next 29 years he held several jobs across the United States until he settled in Tucson, Arizona where he met his future wife in 2000. They were then married in 2003.

Larry loved fishing, karaoke and darts. He was Provost Marshall of Am Vets Post #39 and member of Tucson Mountain Baptist Church.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday February 11th 2017 at 3:00 pm, Tucson Mountain Baptist Church 5757 W Ajo Hwy, Tucson, As 85735. Following the service a celebration of life will be held at the DAV Chapter #28 5771 S. Country Club, Tucson, AZ 85706.
