Lena Shader was born May 30, 1927 and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles W. Shader, of 64 years, mother and father, Palmira and Domingo Silva; sisters and brother, Hilda Corriera (William), Mary Amaral (Manny), Sophie Barboza (Henry), and Arthur Silva (Eva) and son Michael. Lena is survived by her daughter Carolyn Abernathey, son William (Susan), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lena was known as Grandma Lee and became family to many.
