I knew Lucas when he was in my class in third grade at Stony Creek Elementary. He was such a caring boy who gave the best hugs. His personality would light up a room. He was a pleasure to have in my class. I am truly sorry for your loss and will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers .

No words can express the love I have for you and the light you brought into my life. You were a ray of sunshine always making me smile and laugh with your goofy self! I want to hug you so bad!!! Please give Nana Sue and your Dad a big hug for me and look down from heaven upon the ones that you love and love you so much. I can find comfort in knowing you are with your Dad and that you truly lived your best life in your short time here with us. Rest in peace my sweet angel

Lucas had a love for everyone he encountered. He was a sweet, kind, gentle boy. He used to love to sneak out of his apartment and come down to see my kids and me. He would tell me, Miss Dana, it’s okay. My mom said I could come. His little, round face: so pure and innocent, staring up at me. Then Nicole, Dan, or his brother, Matthew would come rushing down the stairs, apologizing. He was a master escape artist in those days.
I can still see him playing video games with my youngest son, wrestling with his brother in the front room. Showing off his latest books from their weekly excursions to the library. His pool party birthday, his always trying to invite my kids along, even before he would ask his parents permission.
Lucas hated to see anyone left out. He was a giving soul. I didn’t get to see him after he moved to Tinley, but you never forget a child as precious and loving as Lucas. Fly high beautiful angel. You and your dad please keep a close eye on your mom, Dan, and Matthew.
Love you Lucas ❤️ Miss Dana

Lucas’s name means “bringer of light” and that is exactly what he did here on Earth. He shined in such a way at everything he put his mind to and brought light into his family and friends hearts. Life will not be the same here on Earth without you but I know you are still shining and please shine down on me my baby. I will be incomplete until I see my beautiful baby boy again. Love Momma

Luke was my buddy. I am really sad that I took him hiking with me and his brother Matthew now. Lucas never hurt nobody and was the nicest kid I ever knew. He loved playing PS4 and ordering things for his gaming online. I remember he spent 80$ dollars on my PayPal and I got angry but he told me that it was for his birthday and I was like yeah your birthday is two months away. I’m happy that he did it now because he never made it to his birthday. I love you Lucas. Your a pure soul with the Angels in heaven and your Dad is with you. I love you both. I’ll see you soon buddy. I love you

Lucas came to visit us in Michigan a few years ago. It was just before his birthday. He was so excited. He kept telling us when it was. We could tell he was a great kid. May God grant him eternal peace! RIP!
