Luis you were a gentle giant with and for children and a gentle soul to all. I will miss your calm demeanor. Your love for all your  family especially your mother will forever be etched in my heart.  I remember Luis, when you would  read to children. You allowed the children to point, ask and discuss the book. 
Luis, I will always remember you as a kind man making sense of your life. Your intelligence was seen by all whom you touched. May your soul continue to live in us all. You were an example of love, family, and community. I will miss you as I know all the children you had the pleasure of being part of their lives.

We are neighbors from the Loreto family and their kids played with ours, we've known the family for years. 
Our most fond memory of Luis was his late bbq's &  his music. When the aroma of BBQ steak permeated the air, in the late nights, we knew it was Luis. Many times his aroma would encourage us to have our own BBQ the next day. He was quiet, but on occasion, we would find ourselves outside in our yards late looking out for the neighborhood well being. We'd hear some commotion outside and we walked outside to explore and there he was too :) 

Our sincere condolences to the parents and siblings. May they find peace & comfort in their memories of Luis.
