Luz Amelia Ross

Luz Amelia Ross, age 92 of Tucson Arizona, passed away on June 7th, 2024 among her loving family. Luz Amelia was born in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, in July of 1931 to Joaquin and Amelia Lopez, both of whom preceded their daughter in passing.

Lus Amelia was born and raised in Mexico, where she worked for many years doing clerical work as a secretary. She moved to Arizona as a young woman where she led a rich life filled with love. She met and married her beloved husband Reynaldo Ross and they spent 40 happy years devoted to one another before his passing. Luz Amelia and Rey are survived by their children Rey Ross Jr. (Sylvia), Leticia Ross Medrano (Anthony), and Mario Ross.

Luz Amelia was the matriarch of a large family, and is further survived by her grandchildren Rey Ross III, Michael Medrano, Joseph Medrano, Yvette Gonzales, Sabrina Brown, and Anthony Medrano Jr.

Luz Amelia was a woman of steadfast faith, and was a member of the St. John's parish. She was further an active member of her community, and goes now to join many friends who passed before her. She watches over her family and loved ones from eternal glory.

Luz Amelia will be fondly remembered for her gentle nature; recall her when you see a yellow flower swaying brightly in the sunshine, or feel the comfort of a cool breeze. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those who knew her.

Services for Luz Amelia are being held at Funeraria Del Angel South Lawn Mortuary on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024.
