Manuel Gerbais Valdez Jr.

Manuel Gerbais Valdez Jr. went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2013. Born on July 13, 1943 in Tucson, Arizona at the “Storks Nest” to late Manuel Valdez Sr. and late Annie Gerbais Valdez. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Nikki Valdez; his son, Steven (Melissa) Valdez; and his siblings, Pat (Ken) Patrick, Anna (Hector) Barragan, Rick (Candie) Valdez, and Buck Valdez. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Michael, Anthony and Kristopher; 11 God Children, many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews. Manuel served his country during 1965-1967 in the United States Army and served time in Germany. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was employed as a mason for 30 years in Tucson, Az. He loved his grandchildren and family dearly! Manuel always put his family first. He wasn’t the type to hold grudges with anyone and was always a great friend to everyone. He will be truly and dearly missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held on November 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at East Lawn Palms Mortuary with graveside to follow at 12pm.
