Margaret Maria Zlotnicki née Leiszner was born on August 26 1948 in Poznan, Poland and passed away on November 16, 2023 in Tucson, Arizona. She immigrated to the United States in 1976, calling Southern California her home for many years before moving to Tucson in 2020. She is survived by her children; son -Michael Zlotnicki, daughter- Monica Davini, and son in law Dan Davini Jr. as well as two grandcats (Dory and Kaya), all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her sister, Grazyna and brother-in-law Mirek, as well as her nieces and nephews and their children back in Poznan.
She loved travel, adventure and time well spent with family and friends. She visited almost every continent during her lifetime, particularly enjoying trips to Europe, Africa, and South America. We were extremely fortunate to have had an amazing tour of Poland together with her in May of this year. It was an amazing trip, filled with many memories and much joy. She deeply cherished time with family and friends, and we were all fortunate to spend most of our holidays together, both here in Tucson and in California. Her warmth, kindness, energy and ‘joy for life’ was felt by all she encountered, and will be sorely missed, but she made an impact on us and will be carried within each of us for the rest of our lives.
We will be having a celebration of life, followed by a reception on 12/15/2023 at 12:30 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary in Tucson, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, a place in which she loved to spend her time in Tucson.
