Maria Cecilia lived a long and blessed life, filled with love for her family, friends, and God. Fondly remembered for her energy, grit, and pioneering spirit. She blazed many trails throughout her life. She traveled the world and was passionate about experiencing its history and cultures firsthand.
Maria Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband, David; her father, Alex; her mother, Henrietta; and her sister, Esther.
She is survived by her sons, David (Julienne) and Louis (Sonia); her grandchildren, Michael-Anthony (Aneeka), David Nathan Jr., Louis Anthony Jr., Halle, and Kaire; her great-grandchildren, Levi and Nehemiah; as well as her cherished godchildren.
A Funeral Mass for Maria Cecilia will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with the praying of the Rosary beginning at 9:00 a.m. for those who wish to participate, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 602 W. Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ 85713. Immediately following the Mass, a graveside committal service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705.
