Maria T Darmer

Maria T. Darmér of Tucson, Arizona passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022. Maria was born in Sinaloa, Mexico on November 24, 1918, to Isidro Tapia and Manuela Sanchez Enciso. Maria immigrated with her immediate family to the United States in 1948. She raised her family of three in Tucson. Maria is predeceased in death by her husband Erwin Darmér, son Roman E. Darmér, daughter Frances D. Fernandez, granddaughter Lilian G. (Fernandez) Howard and her most beloved pets Daisy and Betovito. Maria is survived by her son Silver Darmér (Rebecca), daughter-in-law Marie Darmér, granddaughters Yvonne, Christina (Jimmy), Maria (Edmund), Catherine, Jeannette (Mike) and Rae; grandsons Roman, John, Paul, and Danny (Michelle); along with several cousins, nieces, and great-grandchildren. Maria retired from the Sunnyside School District, had an absolute love of all animals, and provided homes to several cats and dogs over the years, she will be remembered fondly as “Gram” by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Maria will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A committal service will occur Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A reception will occur Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to www.hssaz.org/donate.
