Maria Luisa Barcelo

Maria Luisa Barceló, 89, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2021. Maria Luisa was born in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and lived in San Francisco before returning to and making her home in Tucson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Fidel and Guillermo) her husband Ricardo Barceló, and her son Edgardo (Lalo). A faithful Catholic, she was an active member of St Monica’s Church and the Guadalupanas. She is survived by her three sons, Ricardo (Maria Antoniette), Octavio (Clarisa), and Raul (Patricia); two sisters, Estela and Maria Elena, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Desert Rose Mortuary, 1040 N Columbus Blvd. The Funeral Mass will take place at St Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 15th at 9:00 am. The church is located at 215 S. Craycroft and the burial will follow the Mass at Holy Hope Cemetery at 3555 N. Oracle.
