María Jesús Montijo Romero, age 60, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 8, 1962, in Santa Martha Sonora, Mexico. Maria was the oldest of 10 and helped raise all of her siblings, even after having three children of her own. She was a hard worker and very passionate about helping others. Those who were fortunate enough to know her would describe her as warm-hearted and charismatic. She is someone who knew how to brighten a room and made her presence known. She will always be missed. She is survived by husband, David Montijo; Mother Rita Lydia Romero; Sons, Jorge A. Sonoqui Jr (Roxanne Sonoqui), and Eric Sonoqui (Kassandra Ruiz) , and daughter Daniella Sonoqui; Grandchildren Andrea Nicole Sonoqui, Jorge A Sonoqui III, Maximiliano Sonoqui. She was predeceased by Father Jesús Francisco Romero González.
