Maria Tomasa Rovero

To know Maria (Tammy) was to know what true strength looks like. Born on July 28, 1955, and passing on August 28, 2026, she spent her 71 years fiercely loving the people around her. She wore many beautiful titles in her life: mother, sister, aunt, friend, and perhaps her absolute favorite, grandmother. She was blessed with two children and three grandchildren. She loved them all with every single ounce of her being. When she lost her first grandchild in 2025, a piece of her went with him, yet she kept pushing forward for the rest of us. Every day was a battle for her. She fought a long, hard physical war against her illness, enduring challenges that would have broken most people. But she got up and faced it every single day because of her love for her family. Her fight is finally over now, and she can finally rest. We love you, Mom. Thank you for teaching us how to be brave. You're resting now and reunited  with Xavi again. No more pain. Her love left a mark on us that we will all miss. Love you Mom.

We invite you to join us for a day of remembrance, reflection and celebration. We will begin with a Memorial Service at Desert Rose Heather Cremation & Burial, 1040 North Columbus Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85711, US, on September 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Followed by a reception filled with Tammy's favorite music, food and stories.
