Maria Gonzalez Villa

July 22, 1974 – October 13, 2025

Maria Villa, lovingly known as Mary, passed away on October 13, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 51. Born on July 22, 1974, in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, Mexico, Maria brought joy, warmth, and laughter wherever she went.

Maria had a contagious laugh and a heart full of love. Her favorite phrase, “I be loving you all the day all the time,” perfectly captured the way she lived—full of affection and care for those around her. She was the best listener, always ready with thoughtful advice and a comforting presence. Whether you were family, a friend, or a stranger, Maria had a way of making you feel seen, heard, and loved.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cooking delicious meals for her family, taking care of not only her brother brother Alberto but also her in laws Rosa and Francisco Villa, watching novelas, and cuddling with her beloved cat, Smokey.

Maria is survived by her loving husband, Lazaro T. Villa; her children, Lazaro E. Villa and Jazmin Villa; She leaves behind her sisters, Ines (Gerardo) and Lupita; brothers, Oscar, Alberto; her cousin Linda; and cherished godchildren: Estevan, Reyes, Santos, Olivia, Sophia, and Gerardo Jr. many beloved nieces and nephews; preceded in death by her mother Consuelo, Father Rolando and Brother Hermilo; She will also be dearly missed by her close friends Bernie and Frank, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness.

A celebration of Maria’s life will be held at South Lawn Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, October 29th, from 6 PM to 9 PM, there will be a public viewing for all who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and honor her memory.

Maria was a light in this world—kind, generous, and full of heart. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
