Marianna K. Dodson, age 82, of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully on September 05, 2026, after a long battle with cancer, in Tucson, AZ. Marianna was born on November 02, 1943, in Jerome, IA, Appanoose County. After graduating from Seymour (Iowa) High School in 1962, she married her one and only love, William E. Dodson on June 24, 1962. Perhaps, one of her proudest accomplishments was her marriage of 54 years. She was a homemaker and a member of The Tucson Quilters Guild and The El Pueblo Quilters. Marianna had a passion for hand quilting and crafts. She was also a diehard U of A Men’s Basketball fan. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, family and friends. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Dougie and Alice (Fox) Moore, her husband, William E. Dodson, and her siblings, Wayne Moore, Kenneth Moore, Willard Moore and Helen Rae Slawson. She is survived by daughter Gwen D. Bobak and her children Alicia, Raquel, Missy, Amanda and Nick, her son William T. Dodson, his wife Fiona and their children Sam, Emily and Nathan, great grandchildren (12), best friend Juanita Gonzales and honorary sister Wanda Pinter.
