Celebrating the Life of Marion Jean Shoup
Marion Jean Shoup, a woman whose life was defined by the warmth of her heart and the stitches of her knitting needles, passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born in her family home in Ontario, Canada, on January 17, 1934, to Hugh and Mary Margaret Fitzgerald, Marion eventually made her home in Tucson, Arizona. While many have careers in offices or trade, Marion’s true profession was her family. As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she created a home filled with love, kindness, and care.

She was a gifted creator who spent countless hours knitting and sewing, leaving behind tangible reminders of her affection in every piece she made. Marion is now reunited with her husband, Stephen William "Bill" Shoup.

She leaves behind a vibrant and growing family tree, including her children: Martha (Allan) Buhl, Duane (Tanja) Shoup, Nadine Shoup, Stacy (Thong) Nguyen, and Daryl (Crystal) Shoup. Her 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren will forever remember her as a constant source of love and gentleness.
