Martha Espinoza Ortiz

She was born on October 6, 1938 in Nogales, Arizona to Ricardo Espinoza and Dolores Cota.

She attended school until the 5th grade in order to help her mother with household duties and attend to her five brothers.

She married Juan F. Ortiz on September 22, 1956 in Nogales, Arizona.

She was a housewife for many years. In her later years she worked as a custodian for 18 years at the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind.

Martha truly lived life to the fullest with cooking, serving, and spending time with family. Above all she enjoyed attending church services of her faith.

She is survived by her brothers Raul (Amanda) Espinoza, Augustine (Refugio) Haro, her children Johnny (Eva) Ortiz, Martha (Edward) Juvera, Lydia (Jesse) Ponce, danny and Oceas Ortiz, Susana Martinez, Virginia Espinoza, Elizabeth Zamorano, Dolores Montes, Rachel (Grant) Murray, Sonia (Troy) Peterson, Alfredo (Veronica) Ortiz, Delilah Ortiz, and Josue (Shannon) Ortiz, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father Ricardo Espinoza, mother Dolores Cota, her brothers Roberto Ricardo and Armando, her children David (Anna) Ortiz, Sandra Littman, and Armando Ortiz, and her son-in-laws Alfredo Zamorano and David Montes.

A visitation for Martha will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, and then a graveside blessing and burial from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at South Lawn Cemetery.
